The coral reefs around Astove are some of the most colourful in the Seychelles because of an abundance of beautiful soft corals. You will revel in close encounters with big pelagic species that come quite shallow due to the dramatic change in depths along the wall.
Be one of a lucky few divers to ever experience diving the sheer drop-off of ‘The Astove Wall’, consisting of the flat and reef dropping a vertical 90 degrees from ankle deep water to over 100 metres over a short distance. The Astove Wall is covered in fissures and overhangs with some of the most beautiful seascape in all of the Seychelles. To top it off, it is just five minutes from the lodge.

Your charter flight departs from the IDC Hangar, refuels at Alphonse and lands on Astove three hours later. On arrival you will be transferred to the lodge where orientation and gear set-up begins. After lunch we will go for a check-dive to make sure everyone is comfortable in their gear.
Spend each day exploring our selection of known dive sites. Marvel at fissures in the reef, swim through small caves and be in awe of the colourful and eye-catching coral reef and inhabitants. Tides play a big part in diving Astove, so allow your guide to plan around these with perhaps some early starts to accommodate at least two dives a day with the possibility of a third and the best possible sightings.
Your final full day in paradise allows you to get your last morning dive in and then enjoy the island whilst degassing. Relax and take a quiet walk down the white sandy beaches, snorkel The Wall for a last goodbye or partake in an activity like Atoll Exploration or the Mangrove Tour to explore a hidden side of this special atoll.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and take one last look at the picture-perfect beach before saying your goodbye to the island team, and heading back to Mahé.
The pricing for this itinerary is based on a per person rate for 2 people sharing a Double Room. A single supplement would apply for single occupancy. All activities mentioned in this itinerary are included in the cost.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and prepared with fresh ingredients. Inspiration is drawn from the island and the ocean, and produce is picked fresh from our vegetable garden.
Return flights to Alphonse Island from Mahé are operated on Saturdays, with additional flights on other days possible over periods of high demand.
