Following the trend as you move away from Mahé, Cosmoledo has some of the healthiest reefs found anywhere in the Seychelles, with some of the largest schools of fish in impressive sizes. As on land, the underwater wildlife is prolific with long stretches of coral reef, hard and soft coral and a bounty of pelagic species such as sharks, rays, and large grouper. Your charter flight departs Mahé from the IDC hangar, diverts to Alphonse Island to refuel and lands on Astove three hours later. You will then be transported to the transfer vessel where orientation begins. The transfer vessel departs for Cosmoledo Atoll where you will spend your first evening. A check-dive is offered close to camp in the lagoon, time permitting.
Two to three dives per day will be organized around the tidal cycles. Expect some early morning starts to experience diving focusing on different sides of the atoll each day, including exciting moments looking for sharks. Explore the vastness of this expansive, wild atoll and all of its life underneath the waves.
Your last full day on Cosmoledo allows for a morning dive, with the afternoon available to de-gas before your flight. You can make the most of this time to select from a range of leisure activities available, from bird-watching and nature walks, to one last look underwater by snorkeling.
You will be taken to Astove by the transfer vessel and transported to the airport where you inter-island charted flight will depart. Stopping over at Alphonse to refuel, you will land back in Mahé 3 hours later.
The pricing for this package is based on a per person rate for 2 people sharing an Eco Pod. A single supplement would apply for single occupancy. All activities mentioned in this package are included in the cost.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and prepared with fresh ingredients. Inspiration is drawn from the island and the ocean, and produce is picked fresh from our vegetable garden.
Return flights to Alphonse Island from Mahé are operated on Saturdays, with additional flights on other days possible over periods of high demand.
